Square Enix is furthering their dominance of the RPG genre by re-releasing classic SNES titles across the iOS platforms (mostly iPhone and iPod Touch) at the moderate price of $8.99. The game has received a mobile release the world around and can be picked up digitally from the AppStore.

In the iPhone/iPod touch version of SECRET of MANA, the original creators have succeeded in realising a simple control scheme that utilizes the touch screen, making it possible for users to play the action-packed “Motion Battle” smoothly. SECRET of MANA established the world and the marvellous tales of the MANA series
The heavy price tag is obviously in response to the epic fail that is Final Fantasy XIV and, of course, other titles may have to be used to compensate for that failure. Or alternatively, Secret of Mana is just a high quality title that deserves the price point. I wouldn’t argue with either postulation but whatever the case is you can grab yourself a digital copy right now.
