Activision's latest Cabela's game isn't just a mere hunting simulation. In Cabela's Survival: Shadows of Katmai, players fight for their life in the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness.

"When those instincts kick in, its equal parts terrifying and exhilarating, and we've combined all those visceral reactions into a brand new 3rd-person adventure to make Cabela's Survival: Shadows of Katmai the most exciting Cabela's game ever!"
Players control Logan James, a pilot who has crashed in the Alaskan high country. He'll battle hypothermia, starvation and deadly predators as he traverses the wilderness. The trailer shows James scaling mountains, riding a dog sled, and shooting lots of animals.
Shadows of Katmai will be released for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii on November 1st. The game will be bundled with the Top Shot Elite, a controller shaped like a firearm.
