SimCity Beta Tutorial Video Has 11 Minutes Of Gameplay

Beta tests typically have non-disclosure agreements to prevent testers from leaking details to the world. Well, one person with access to the SimCity beta has decided to ignore the NDA and post a lengthy video from the game's tutorial.

The SimCity reboot, like its predecessors, puts the player into the role of mayor. They must build a town from the ground up and care for all of their citizens' needs. They'll also have to respond to various natural disasters that could severely damage the city.

SimCity will also have online multiplayer. Several players can band their cities together into regions and then assist each other with natural disasters. They can even work together for large goals such as constructing Arcologies. The downside is that your neighbors can negatively affect you through pollution.

Maxis is currently accepting applications for next weekend's closed beta.
