Sir, You Are Being Hunted Heads To Kickstarter
Not every game deserves to be Kickstarted and some games deserve it a bit more than others, but by all means some games need to be Kickstarted straight through to the High-Score section where gamers don't have to worry about whether or not a project has enough funding to finish development, but instead gamers can rest on their laurels and just wait for the game to be released...that's how it should be for Sir, You Are Being Hunted. The game is being designed by Big Robot and co-developed by the fine folk at Rock, Paper, Shotgun, and it has taken to Kickstarter to finish off development. The team is looking for about £40,000, which isn't too bad and they're nearly halfway there as of the publishing of this article.
With 29 days to go I really hope Sir, You Are Being Hunted makes the trip to the finish line because it really is an awesome game. Players are thrust into a procedurally generated British countryside where maniacal, tweedpunk robots of social gentry use their status to hunt people down and kill them. Yes, it's insane.
As noted on Venture Beat, players will strive to survive similar to games like GSC Game World's S.T.A.L.K.E.R. as well as recent horror-survival titles like Slender and DayZ, scavenging buildings and houses for loot, weapons and tea. Check it out in the Kickstarter video below.
Few games have me excited like Sir, You Are Being Hunted and it's mostly because the concept is so wild and yet completely creative that I can't help my giddiness when discussing it.
I don't doubt for a second that the game will succeed on Kickstarter, but any and all extra forms of support that the game receives just helps it move closer to the goal of eventually appearing on a digital distribution station near you.
If Sir, You Are Being Hunted appeals to your wicked taste in action-survival games, then feel free to learn more or pledge your support by visiting the Official Kickstarter Page.
