Sledgehammer Hiring For New Call Of Duty For Xbox 360, PS3
After Infinity Ward shot down rumors about a potential Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, Sledgehammer went and spilled the beans by posting a job listing on Gamasutra, indicating that they're looking to hire for a new Call of Duty game set for release next year for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Now Gamer spotted the listing via Gamasutra, asking for a senior environment artist to work on level designs and structures, so if you want to finally design non-corridor, non-linear levels for Call of Duty...here's your chance.
MP1st noted a key element in the description that let's us know that the game is being designed for current gen consoles, with the requirement for the position stating...
So, who's excited for a new Call of Duty? If you haven't already barreled through Black Ops 2's campaign you can do so now so that you'll be ready for the new game when it launches.
One thing that could be interesting is if Activision might start with double-dipping into the releases of Call of Duty, letting out two games a year as opposed to just one. But until we get more info, for now all we know is that a new Call of Duty is on the way for current-gen consoles.
