Sony's Super Smash Bros Competitor In Development?
New details, information and a couple of incriminating tweets by a senior level designer from SuperBot Entertainment suggests that Sony has their own flavorful fighting game in the works to rival Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. series.
According to Gaming Everything, they picked up on a few tweets (which have now been removed) of Chris Molina, senior level designer at SuperBot Entertainment, detailing aspects of an upcoming project he’s working on which features a few of Sony’s iconic properties, such as Parappa the Rappa and Kratos.
Before the tweets were deleted, Gaming Everything managed to get a few screenshots of the test shots for the unnamed game, including the one of Sweet Tooth, which is the one being used for the main image of this article. According to the website, Molina has confirmed that Kratos and Parappa are in the game, but things get even more exciting when further mascots enter the picture, thanks to a post on NeoGaf, which says that Nathan Drake from the Uncharted series, Sly Cooper from the game of the same name, Colonel Mael Radec from KillZone as well as Fat Princess from Fat Princess will also make the cut. There was also mention of Jak & Daxter as well as a few likely faces and places from HotShots Golf and LittleBigPlanet.
The only thing that could make the experience even more over-the-top is if PlayStation Home creations could make an appearance…maybe as audience members in a spectator mode of sorts?
Nevertheless, this is all rumor-work here folks. Sony is mum on the topic and doesn’t respond or speculate on rumors. Until the good folks over at Sony confirm this we can just chalk this up as one of the most likely rumors you’ll come across regarding an unannounced game.
