Yeah, that's a pretty stacked cast, which makes already high expectations for Star Citizen skyrocket even further into the stratosphere.
The full announcement was made during a CitizenCon 2015 stream over the weekend, but you can check out the trailer that's got everybody talking below.
Every great Sci-Fi epic has a rousing speech like the one above plugged in at one point or another and, yep, Star Citizen's take on that trope is pitch-perfect. I don't know about you folks, but I'm ready to straight-up trounce some alien scum. And we'll all be given that chance come 2016.
Given recent negative developments for various crowd-funded games, it's nice to be reminded what it looks like when a developer seems to be handling their business the right way. A lot of folks have questioned why a Kickstarter campaign, for instance, doesn't end when a project's goal is met. Star Citizen cleared $2 million when its funding drive drew to a close, quite a hefty chunk of change above and beyond its original $500,000 goal. Well, now you're seeing where all of those extra resources are going. The above trailer looks great and a cast like that don't come cheap, but it will all hopefully come together in a big way once Star Citizen finally launches next year.
Additional videos were also unveiled during this weekend's CitizenCon event, including a brief look behind the scenes at the above voice cast doing their job in full mocap gear.
