Yesterday BioWare announced details on Update 1.2 for Star Wars: The Old Republic. Today they provided a trailer that provides a glimpse at all of the changes and new content that will be included in this patch.
The main draw of 1.2 is going to be the new content. The update brings a new Flashpoint, Warzone, and Operation for players to tackle. Players will also have a fresh set of daily missions to tackle on Corellia. The game will offer up new items, pets and more for your hard work.
Update 1.2 also implements the Legacy system. Legacy points are sort of like experience points that are shared between all of a player's characters. Players have been able to earn Legacy points since launch but with 1.2, they'll actually have rewards to unlock. Convenience items, abilities, and character creation options are a few examples of the rewards they can earn.
The patch will also bring Old Republic in line with many other MMOs in terms of other game features. User interface customization, guild banks, and ranked PvP matches will all be introduced in 1.2.
BioWare hopes that 1.2 will go live in April. In the mean time, they've implemented friend trials so you can invite other players to try out the game.
