Star Wars X-Wing, Speeders, Space Stations Invade GTA IV
You may not have to wait long for Star Wars: Battlefront III to arrive if you grab a few mods for GTA IV. One of the latest mods for the game is a speeder bike that also allows you to fire your lasers. I can't say it's a visual improvement over the speeder bike released last year for GTA IV, but the more the merrier, right?
DSO Gaming spotted the new mod from resident YouTuber taltigolt. The mod would be perfect in a multiplayer deathmatch setup on an alternate map. Can you imagine the rebels versus the Empire while a Droid Control Station hovers ominously above? Not sure what I'm talking about? Check out this bad boy mod in the video below.
But it doesn't end there. While you have a Droid Control Station hovering over Liberty City looking like it's about to take a metal manufacturing crap all over the concrete buildings below, you can also whip out some more damaging capabilities with some slick aerial support from none other than the X-Wing. You know what's really cool about the X-Wing mod for GTA IV? The darn thing actually has quadrilateral vertical wing retraction. How awesome is that?
GTA IV's modding scene is continuing to grow and bustle in the wake of GTA V's impending release. Perhaps the modding community and the media at large is using this as a way to let Rockstar know that the PC Master Race still matters...that they haven't become extinct or lost to time, they're showing that just like console gamers, they have blood in their veins and most importantly, not all of the PC Master Race indulge in piracy...some still pay for games...some are still human.
You can look for GTA V to launch this September for the Xbox 360 and PS3. For all these awesome mods featured in this article, feel free to grab them from the GTA Gaming Website.
