StarForge, One Of The Biggest Games Ever Heads To Greenlight
Imagine building a space station...in space. Now imagine having a fleet of cargo ships to move resources from the planet's surface up to your space station in order to build an arsenal of defenses. Now imagine going down to the surface of the planet and seeing an entire user-generated city. Yes, this is StarForge and what I just described is entirely possible in the game.
Maybe the above description isn't entirely accurate to the possibilities of the game, though. You see, StarForge isn't an RTS, it's not some zoomed out isometric game and it's not a pixelated 2D side-scroller. StarForge has typical AAA style graphics and everything, everything is procedurally generated, which means that you can build into the ground, tear down trees, build into space, design your own weapons and engage in some FPS/TPS shooting. If this seems too good to be true, just watch the video below.
I'm almost speechless. This is the sort of game I've been wanting to play for a long while. I'm sure anyone who appreciates Minecraft but wants something a bit more serious will easily take a liking to StarForge. The game is currently being funded on IndieGoGo and is also looking for some approval on Steam's Greenlight.
If what you've seen has convinced you that this is a game worth supporting and a project you'd like to see come to fruition, feel free to donate to the effort at IndieGoGo or if you're short on cash just give the game an upvote over on the official Steam Greenlight Page.
