Braid's coming to the PC at the end of March but it won't be available solely through Stardock's digital service Impulse. You'll apparently be able to get it through Steam, too.
It will have the exact same price on Steam as it does on Impulse - $15. Both digital platforms will get it on March 31st. It seems like a good strategic move for Valve, as Braid could've been a pretty big exclusive for Impulse. You probably would've seen many Steam users creating Impulse accounts just to grab that game.
"Braid is arguably the strongest example of what can be accomplished by an independent game designer," said Jason Holtman, director of business development at Valve. "From GDC to DICE, the title has deservedly collected numerous accolades and, along with World of Goo, Audiosurf and many others, is redefining the way people think about 'Independent Games.'"
Braid, a retro-platformer that has players manipulate time to solve puzzles, was initially released for Xbox Live Arcade in August 2008. A Mac version was announced yesterday and creator Jonathan Blow has expressed interest in bringing it to the PS3 as well.
