Today Capcom sent along a couple updates regarding Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online Edition, a download-only remake of the 1997 fighting game. They provided release dates along with a new trailer.
The trailer details the new features included in the remake. The fighter now sports wide-screen high-def graphics, though nostalgic gamers can play with Classic or Arcade visual filters as well. A large collection of extras, including remixed music and bonus characters, can be unlocked by earning "vault points" through gameplay. Live streaming replays, instant YouTube video sharing, and Tournament mode will make it easy for you to connect with other players.
3rd Strike will be released on August 23rd for PSN and August 24th for XBLA. If you're in the UK and own a PS3, note that you'll need to wait until the 24th anyway. You know how it is.
To my knowledge, the price hasn't been mentioned yet. Expect to pay at least $10, though.
