Activision and MTV Games have cluttered living rooms around the world with their plastic musical instruments for years but now another publisher might be challenging their supremacy in the plastic doodads market.
THQ CEO Brian Farrell told Los Angeles Business Journal (via Kotaku) that they've got a game-specific peripheral in development. "We have something that we think is different from anything else out there and will give us a competitive advantage. Beyond that, we can't say much."
THQ publishes games based on WWE and UFC so some sort of motion-sensing, brawling peripheral would be interesting (especially if you could use it while controlling a mech in Red Faction Guerrilla). Whatever this new gadget is, it'll arrive in 2010.
