Xbox 360 owners may receive Trials Evolution, sequel to surprise hit Trials HD, next month. The Xbox Marketplace briefly listed an April release date for RedLynx's platform racing game.
Users on the official RedLynx forums spotted the April 18th release date before it was removed from the Marketplace listing. Microsoft, for whatever reason, then changed the date to "12/31/2799." Pictures of the April release date and the crazy placeholder date are below.
Trials Evolution is a 2.5D motorcycle racing game. Players must traverse a level filled with obstacles. You're graded based on how quickly you complete the course and how many times you crash. Up to four players can complete online or locally.
Like its predecessor, Evolution comes with a track editor so you can build your own obstacle courses. You can also share your creations with other players through a new hub called Track Central.
"Trials Evolution is more than just a sequel to Trials HD," said RedLynx creative director Antti Ilvessuo at last year's E3. "We listened carefully to all the feedback we received from the previous game and added it to our own vision of what the ultimate Trials game could be, coming up with a gamer’s wish list of must-play features.”
