Today Frozenbyte released their co-op adventure Trine 2 on another platform. The Trine 2: Director's Cut can be downloaded through the Nintendo eShop for Wii U in North America.
In Trine 2, players direct a wizard, thief and knight through various levels. They need to use each character's distinct abilities in order to traverse obstacles and defeat enemies. One player can switch between all three characters or enlist two other players.
The Director's Cut includes the Goblin Menace expansion released in September. Goblin provides six new levels as well as new character abilities. The game's playable with Wii Remotes, Nunchuks, Wii U Pro Controllers and Classic Controllers.
Frozenbyte initially planned to release the Director's Cut with a multiplayer mode called Magic Mayhem. However, now they plan to release it as an update at a later time. The Magic Mayhem mode is a collection of minigames that will make use of the console's touchscreen capabilities.
The European launch of Trine 2: Director's Cut will occur on November 30th, the same day that the Wii U arrives there.
