Propaganda Games is no more. Disney Interactive revealed today that they have shuttered the Vancouver studio.
"Disney Interactive Studios confirms the closure of its Vancouver-based internal game development studio, Propaganda Games," the publisher told Joystiq. "The studio has completed all work associated with its most recent project."
The studio's most recent project was Tron: Evolution, an action game that served as a tie-in for the film Tron: Legacy. Presumably this means no more DLC will be forthcoming for that title. A few multiplayer maps and a character skin were released for the PS3, PC, and Xbox 360 versions of Evolution on its launch day.
Propaganda's closure was sort of expected after the cancellation of Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned in October. Armada was an action RPG that took place in the same universe as the Pirates films but featured an all-new storyline. The premise was a bit like Sid Meier's Pirates!: the player would take on the role of a pirate and try to make a name for themselves on the open sea. It would've featured exploration, dueling, ship combat, and a branching storyline. The game sounded surprisingly unshitty for a licensed project but alas.
