Ubisoft announced today that they've joined forces with Demiurge Studios. They will be publishing the developer's next game, entitled Shoot Many Robots.
In Shoot Many Robots, a factory has begun to produce hordes of killer robots. P. Walter Tugnut embarks on a quest to kill as many as possible. The shooter features four player co-op as well as extensive weapon and item customization. You can experience the game in two modes: Traversal, in which you must battle your way through a linear level, and Survival, which tasks players with fending off waves of robots.
SMR will be the first original game from Demiurge. Previously they've assisted with other developers' games. For example, they created Arena Mode for Borderlands and ported Mass Effect to the PC.
Ubisoft plans to release SMR in 2012 on Xbox Live Arcade, PSN, and the PC. They'll be showing the game off at PAX Prime, which runs from August 26th to the 28th.
