The Walking Dead: Michonne Launch Trailer Is Our Last Peek At The New Episode
Telltale's first episode for the new The Walking Dead: Michonne is prepping to release on February 23, tomorrow, for the PC, Mac, Xbox home consoles and PlayStation platforms. To help keep the excitement high a new launch trailer was let loose to give gamers a look at the upcoming title.
The trailer was posted up over on the Telltale Games YouTube channel. The trailer for the first episode called “In Too Deep” is a quick, one-minute look at the game's story and content. Don't worry, there are no spoilers but it sure does look intense.
They don't give anything away, but they do explain that the story takes place across three miniature stories that follow Michonne (voiced by Samira Wiley from Orange is the New Black) as she meets up with a group following the loss of her child. The first episode focuses on Michonne joining up with a character named Pete on a ship, where they eventually end up at a location that has been used as a massacring ground. Things heat up even further when Michonne and the group end up on a colony called Monroe, where things get real dangerous real fast.
The second episode of The Walking Dead: Michonne is called “Give No Shelter” and it's set to release in March. Before that happens, though, Telltale will release the first episode on iOS and Android mobile devices on February 25th, just a couple of days after the game is made available for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PC and Mac. I'm a little shocked that they don't mention SteamOS, but maybe they'll eventually start to work in support for Valve's OS further down the line as the company continues to improve their free-to-use operating system.
But let's not get sidetracked here... the three episode mini-series of The Walking Dead: Michonne will conclude in April with “What We Deserve”.
All three episodes will be available for $14.99. If you pay for the three episode bundle upfront you will gain access to the first episode and then the next two will unlock as they become available throughout March and April.
The YouTube comment section for the trailer above is funny given that there's a lot of people on there asking when Telltale will announce the release date for the third season of The Walking Dead main series starring Clementine. There's also a few people in there asking about another season for Game of Thrones and Telltale's The Wolf Among Us. Of course, the company is taking their time with their other games and focusing on this mini-series for now.
