The Walking Dead: Season Two will continue today on the PS3, PC and Mac. Xbox 360 and iOS owners won't have to wait long to get Episode 2, though.
Season Two brings back Clementine, the little girl from the first season. The player now controls her as she tries to survive the zombie apocalypse. She found a new group of survivors at the end of Episode One but she can't rest for long.
"Clem's journey continues as even more problems arise, quickly reminding the player that safety is only temporary, and the bonds of trust may not always be as strong as they seem," said Telltale Games co-founder and CEO Dan Connors. "This episode also introduces our first true villain for the series, the mysterious 'Carver,' who's bent on tracking down her new group of survivors at all costs."
In terms of mechanics, The Walking Dead is closest to an adventure game. You explore the environment, find items and use those items to bypass obstacles. However, talking with characters is just as important. The plot changes based on your decisions in the dialogue. Telltale also mixes in the occasional stealth and combat, the latter of which is driven by Quick Time Events.
The PC and Mac versions can be downloaded now through Steam. The PS3 edition will arrive in the late afternoon with the PlayStation Store update. The Xbox 360 and iOS versions will follow later in the week, according to Telltale:
The European PSN release date hasn't been announced yet. However, Telltale says that they'll confirm the date for that territory "shortly."
PS Vita owners will get Episode 1 and Episode 2 in late March according to Telltale. The Walking Dead: Season Two is a cross-buy title so purchasing it for PS3 will give you access on Vita for no additional charge, and vice versa.
