Terminal Reality wants to make sure that their first-person shooter The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct feels like a true Walking Dead experience. They've enlisted Norman Reedus and Michael Rooker from the TV show to provide their voices.
Reedus and Rooker play Daryl and Merle Dixon, respectively, in the show and game. Survival Instinct follows the brothers immediately after the zombie outbreak. The duo travel through the Georgia countryside to reach a supposed safe zone in Atlanta. Players take on the role of Daryl in the journey.
The Dixon brothers always have a weapon at the ready but they're greatly outnumbered by zombies in the game. They won't just be able to shoot every walker that they see. Instead, they'll need to sneak by them and save ammo.
Throughout their journey, Merle and Daryl will encounter other survivors. Players will have to decide whether they'll be friendly or hostile. I'm guessing Merle will be constantly telling you to kill people or leave them behind.
Survival Instinct will arrive sometime next year on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Hopefully Activision and Terminal Reality start spilling more details soon. Thus far all we've seen are a few environment screenshots and a teaser trailer.
