Weekly Recap April 30th: Wii 2 Confirmed, Portal 2 Review, Cave Story 3D

Topping last week’s recap would be a serious challenge given all the amazing news that came pouring in regarding upcoming titles and some new announcements. The last week of April, however, plays host to a few things we already knew and some things we didn’t. Of course, the real headliner is the announcement of the Wii 2 being officially confirmed by Nintendo for a 2012 release. A small taste of the sequel to the revolutionary home console will undoubtedly make an appearance at this year’s E3. A complete review of Valve’s Portal 2 is up and available for perusing, and the Nintendo 3DS will get its first taste of Cave Story later this year. Tons of new assets have also become available for the game, so gamers can get a glimpse at how the game will look in 3D right here. These stories and more in this April 30th, 2011 edition of the Gaming Blend Weekly Recap.
