Weekly Recap Feb 7: Killer Instinct 3, Prototype, Jack Thompson
Busy, busy, busy was the week of February 1st through the 7th. I don’t even think I can fit all the noteworthy stuff in this first paragraph – that’s just how much stuff we covered in the first week of February. Can you imagine what the rest of the month will be like? Wow.
Just so you know, there was a huge thing about Jack Thompson claiming that Blend Games’ own Section Editor Pete Haas was on drugs, and it all just blew up after that. Figured I would let you guys know so you’ll actually check out this week’s news. All righty, let’s get this ball rolling.

Super Bowl Madness On Madden. The video game simulation scored it right yet again. Who won and how? Like I’m going to give it away. If you missed the Super Bowl try checking out what Madden, the game had to say and compare it to the real life results. Scary.

Resident Evil 5’s Demo Officially Sucks. That’s what Steve West is saying about the demo that actually received very similar criticisms from around the blogosphere.
. Electronic Arts has just hijacked Jason Bourne into their own league of extraordinary crap. If they happen to mirror the game on the likes 007: Everything or Nothing, it could be an extremely cool action-adventure game. If not, then they’ll end up following in the footsteps of Vivendi.

PC Gamers Have Been Snubbed Of Prince of Persia DLC. I don’t know why the tides have turned for poor ‘ole PC gamers. But for some odd reason they’ve been receiving glitched-up, buggy versions of console ports. To make matters worse, PC gamers won’t be receiving DLC. Say what?!
Video Games Can Help Your Relationship. So says a study for game retailer Game Crazy. The study also found that a large percentage of people actually feel like they would enjoy playing games with their significant other. H’m. Did it really take a research survey to make that tidbit of information apparent?
Prototype Lands Official Release Date. It may be official but it’s not very detailed. What we do know, though, is that Prototype is coming in June.

WiiWare’s First Ever FPS Actually Looks Fun. I know, isn’t it surprising? A WiiWare title that involves more than just spinning a 3D spaceship around from a birds-eye view and firing at indistinct objects is finally on its way. The game sports four-player online co-op, so I’m thinking you might want to give your 360 and Halo 3 the ‘ole heave-ho.
The First Ever 3D Game For The Wii Is On The Way. Seems odd that Battle Rage: Robot Wars is being hailed as the first ever “real 3D” game for the Wii. It’s true, but it sounds silly. Of course, I’m not going to go on and about in a paragraph long rant, describing what the game is about when you could just as easily click the link to discover all the information you ever needed about the game.
Left 4 Dead Downloadable Content Is On The Way. The link contains everything you need to know about what the content will contain…or will it?
Halo Wars Demo Is Now Available On Xbox Live. You know what this means? It means that you’re going to have to stop playing Resident Evil 5’s demo to download the Halo Wars demo. It’s a hard thing to do, but it’s a necessary thing to do in order to help Ensemble Studios feel better about the whole thing. Since they’re closing and all.
