Soon Wii owners will be able to watch television shows and movies through their console. Netflix has begun sending out the instant streaming discs to select subscribers.
Like the PS3, the Wii needs to have a special disc in its tray in order to watch streaming video from Netflix. Through their official blog, Netflix announced that "some" Netflix members were sent the discs today. They haven't fully launched the Wii Netflix yet so they're letting a small portion of potential users test the service.
You can register to receive a Wii streaming disc here. They'll send you an email once the disc's in the mail. You'll need a $8.99 Netflix subscription or better to access the service.
