Over the past year, Wii role-playing game Xenoblade Chronicles has been receiving rave reviews in Japan and Europe. Soon North American gamers will get a chance to see what all the buzz is about.
In Xenoblade, humanity is under assault from an army of robots known as the Mechon. The main character is Shulk, a weapons researcher who must stop this threat using the Monado blade. The Monado blade is an ancient weapon has the power to destroy Mechons and also lets Shulk see the future.
While many Japanese RPG's are very linear, Xenoblade encourages exploration. The game's open world is filled with side quests and hidden areas. You can also pursue relationships with party members if you so choose.
Xenoblade is expected to hit North America this spring. It will be available exclusively through GameStop and Nintendo's website.
