Wii U exclusive ZombiU is one of the most promising hardcore games coming to the console. It's also an excellent showcase of the capabilities of Wii U's touchscreen GamePad controller.
The GamePad can be used to scan your environment. In some cases, it will help you spot secrets or approaching undead. Once you've spotted a zombie, you can use the GamePad as a scope for your weapon and take them out.
The really neat part is how the GamePad contributes to the horror of the game. In order to pick a lock, hack a keypad, or manage your inventory, you'll need to use the controller's touchscreen. While you're executing these tasks and watching the small screen, zombies can attack you. This should result in some very frantic lockpicking.
ZombiU will arrive alongside the Wii U on November 18th in North America and on November 30th in Europe.
