ZombiU Wii U Bundle Launching In U.S., Canada This Month
If you’ve been waiting for the right Wii U bundle to come along and sweep you off your feet, and perhaps gnaw on your flesh while you squirm about, then Nintendo’s latest offering might be the package of your dreams. It’s called the Wii U ZombiU Deluxe Set, and it’s headed to the U.S. and Canada next Sunday, Feb. 17.
Since the Wii U’s big launch last November, ZombiU has been the console’s number one darling. Sure, there’s the new Mario game and, um, well, the new Mario game, but if you ask most folks what Wii U game makes the console worth checking out, they’ll tell you it’s ZombiU.
A first-person survival horror game, ZombiU drops the player in the middle of a zombie infested London. As one of the few remaining survivors, you must scrounge for supplies, re-murder countless undead and complete various objectives to protect the last shreds of humanity. The game utilizes the Wii U’s touchscreen for realtime inventory management, meaning you’re never safe when digging around in your backpack, looking for that extra ammunition. You can also use the screen to scan your environment, viewing the game world in 3D as you point it around your own living room.
So, yeah, ZombiU is super spiffy and pretty soon you’ll be able to get it packaged in with a Wii U console. This new bundle features everything the original Wii U Deluxe Set offered, as well as a downloadable copy of Nintendo Land, a physical copy of ZombiU, a Pro Controller and a collectible booklet featuring artwork and developer commentary from ZombiU. All of that will set you back $389.99 or, according to Nintendo, a $70 savings were you to purchase everything separately.
Look for the Wii U ZombiU Deluxe Set to hit store shelves on Sunday, Feb. 17.
