Zombie Tycoon 2 Arrives On PS3 And PS Vita April 30th
One of PlayStation’s earliest chart-topping Minis is set to make a triumphant return as Frima Studio announces the April 30 launch of Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov’s Revenge.
In the film 28 Days Later zombie fans were introduced to a new kind of shambling undead menace. Specifically, these zombies no longer “shambled” so much as “sprinted like a coked-up cheetah.” Since then, fast-moving zombies have popped up in many-a movie and video game alike, causing something of a rift in the fanbase. Are the slow-moving, meatier monstrosities better than the lean and agile fast fellows? Well, Zombie Tycoon 2 hopes to settle that argument once and for all.
Revealed through the PlayStation Blog, Zombie Tycoon 2: Brainhov’s Revenge picks up right where the first game left off. Orville Tycoon and his slow moving zombies are on the brink of bringing down Finkleville’s last human stronghold when, out of nowhere, a bunch of sprinting undead start attacking Tycoon’s zombie hordes. It turns out Orville’s former mentor, Professor Brainhov, is on a quest for vengeance against his old student and has created his own brand of zombie to do his bidding.
Now it’s up to the player to choose a side and dig into some strategy action gameplay to determine which zombie army will reign supreme.
Along with a single player campaign, Zombie Tycoon 2 features online competitive multiplayer. While no price point has been announced, the game will be a cross-buy, cross play title, meaning that you can purchase it for either the PS3 or Vita and download it on both consoles at no extra charge. Even better, you can continue your campaign from either device and play against online opponents using either the PS3 or Vita.
Frima is promising more details leading up to the game’s release, which is currently scheduled for April 30.
