2013 Oscar Nominations Announced -- Read The Full List Here

Nominations for the 85th Academy Awards were announced this morning in Beverly Hills by Emma Stone (Gangster Squad) and Seth MacFarlane, who’ll host this year’s telecast in February. Lincoln, Les Miserables, Argo and Silver Linings Playbook lead a pack of expected Oscar contenders – with more than a few noted snubs and surprises mixed in for good measure.

The Academy went with a nine-picture field in the Best Picture category, adding the outstanding Beasts of the Southern Wild, Life of Pi, Amour and Quentin Tarantino’s Django Unchained to a roster that also included the five expected titles of Lincoln, Les Miserables, Argo, Zero Dark Thirty and Silver Linings Playbook.

This year’s Best Director candidates only line up with the Best Picture contenders because there are so many BP noms. Steven Spielberg, David O. Russell, Ang Lee Michael Haneke and Beasts director Benh Zeitlin made the cut, leaving Tom Hooper, Kathryn Bigelow and Ben Affleck on the outside looking in.

We’ll have thorough analysis of the ongoing Oscar race throughout the day, but in the interim, here’s the complete listing of Academy Award nominees. The winners will be announced at the Oscars on Sunday, Feb. 24.
