There hasn’t been much that’s drawn my interest about the upcoming Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe thus far. Sure, it’s a children’s book from my childhood which I’d love to see brought to life, but with such an excellent job of converting The Lord of the Rings by Peter Jackson, all else tends to fall short. Even the Harry Potter movies, which excite me from the trailers, never live up to my expectations.
The second major trailer for The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe has hit the web, via an exclusive deal with AOL’s Moviefone. For the first time the movie seems to be coming together. Animals speak, and the emergence of Aslan from the tent actually gave me chills, even in the tiny size the online trailer is available on. I don’t know how I’ll react seeing it on the big screen, but this may finally be the excitement I needed to feel for this project.
