50 Cent Joins The Pursuit
At the rate he’s going, Curtis Jackson (aka 50 Cent) will outnumber his film soundtrack credits with acting credits. Continuing on his transition from musician to actor, Jackson is set to appear in a starring role in an action film called The Pursuit.
The Hollywood Reporter posted the news earlier today, stating that Jackson is set to star in The Pursuit, which is being produced by his and Randall Emmett’s production company Cheetah Vision Films. Written by Matt Johnson, the film will follow a the pursuit of a bank robber by a cop and a criminal, who team up with the common goal to track the man down, each for their own reasons. Pursuing them is a US Marshall who hopes to prevent the duo from killing the convict, so that he can be brought to justice. So, there are a couple of pursuits happening here.
Jackson is set to play the cop in the film, which will begin production in Louisiana in February 2012.?
The Pursuit isn’t Jackson’s only upcoming acting gig. IMDB has him credited for five other yet-to-premiere projects, including Vengeance, which stars Danny Trejo, Jason Mewes and Donal Logue. He’s also set to appear in Fire with Fire with Josh Duhamel, Rosario Dawson and Bruce Willis. Both are listed to be in post-production.
