Move over, Benjamin Button-- there's a new old guy around who promises to be a lot more dynamic and ass-kicking than your slow, mopey self. Variety is reporting that Warner Bros. will make the action-adventure movie Methuselah, based on the Biblical character who lived to be 1,000 years old.

Instead of spending all that time pining over someone named Daisy or hanging out at a retirement home, Methuselah has developed some serious survival skills that even Liam Neeson in Taken would be jealous of. James Watkins, who recently made his directorial debut with the indie horror film Eden Lake, will write and direct this project, which sounds like a huge step up in terms of sheer scale.

Watkins told Variety, "What I wanted was to come up with an adrenalized thriller that has a bit of intelligence and resonance." Sounds good to me-- I'll be looking forward to it.
