Deny it all you want in public, but there is not a man nor woman amongst us who can say they have never picked up that holy instrument that is the air guitar. Whether you do it for a second and then put it away in shame or you spaz out like an epileptic every time you here a great solo, air guitar is like the force: it binds the universe together.

Unfortunately, the act still has a social stigma, but now crusader Justin Theroux, writer of Tropic Thunder, is going to make us face our demons.

According to Reuters, Theroux has signed on to produce a film not based on bedroom antics, but rather the competitive world of air guitar, which is apparently a real thing. The script will be written by Mike Lisbe and Nate Reger (who have two episodes of Just Shoot Me and one episode of Spin City to their names).

I just have one thing to say: Brett Ratner and his Guitar Hero movie can suck it.
