The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Set Gets Invaded By The FBI In New Photo
We don't know much about the plot of the upcoming Amazing Spider-Man sequel, but one thing that we do know is that somehow the feds will be getting involved.
As he has been since the start of production (you can see other examples here, here and here), director Marc Webb has sent out a new photo from the set of the superhero sequel, and this time he's taken a shot of a pair of FBI agents who look pretty serious about their job. Check out the image below.
Just like his other on-set Tweets, Webb doesn't reveal any context for the photo, leaving a message simply reading "Day 11. #knockknock," but I suppose that's just to entice speculation from fans. Could these two gentlemen be on the hunt for the new spider-like superhero swinging around the streets of New York? Could they be in from Washington D.C. to look into the nefarious dealings going on at Oscorp? Could it be something else entirely?
What we do know about the sequel is that Andrew Garfield, Emma Stone, Sally Field and Martin Sheen are set to reprise their roles from The Amazing Spider-Man and that Jamie Foxx, Paul Giamatti, Dane DeHaan, Shailene Woodley, Felicity Jones, and Colm Feore have all signed on for new parts (some of them known, some of them still a mystery). Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci (Star Trek) penned the script for the film, which is on track to head into theaters on May 2nd next year.
