The Amazing Spider-Man's Sinister Six Has Been Revealed
As if announcing the cast for Star Wars: Episode VII wasn't enough to send the Internet buzzing today, now we've got a story that could probably shut down the network altogether. Thanks to a mobile app tie-in with The Amazing Spider-Man 2, images have surfaced online of scenes from the film's end credits that represent the next big step for the franchise. We're pleased to announced that, with a fair degree of certainty, we now know the line-up of the upcoming The Sinister Six.
Coming Soon landed the scoop, which comes from using the popular mobile app Shazam. When it identifies the song It's On Again by Alicia Keys featuring Kendrick Lamar from the end credits of The Amazing Spider-Man, a splashpage come up asking fans to "Look closely for plans of a SINISTER FUTURE." Clicking on the header brings you to a video of the end title sequence, which showcases some familiar looking hardware.
Double confirmed for The Sinister Six are Dane DeHaan's Green Goblin...
Paul Giamatti's Rhino...
...as well as the previously speculated Doctor Octopus and Vulture, who have their trademark gear already featured in the promotional materials for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
However, we now have our first concrete leads as to who will be rounding out the line-up. First up, please welcome Kraven The Hunter to the crew (as evidenced by this image's similarity to the two-eyed vest that Kraven the Hunter wears):
The second new member, however, is sightly ambiguous. It's been speculated that this is either Mysterio or The Chameleon, but our guess is that the latter turns out to be true, as there's no trace of Mysterio's trademark fishbowl helmet.
