Ambiguously Gay Movie
I’m not sure how this is going to work, but it seems like those old rumors about a movie version of the SNL cartoon “The Ambiguously Gay Duo” could be in the works… assuming of course that Stephen Colbert wasn’t kidding. It’s often hard to tell with him.
According to AICN, Stephen, who is the voice of Ace in the raunchy cartoon had this to say on the subject: “We're making a movie version of it for Universal, actually. We still do it for "SNL," but only about once a year. But yeah, the movie is a go.”
I really dig the cartoon, it’s sick, twisted, and inappropriate in every way possible. But it’s really a one note joke. I mean, can you really make an entire movie out of people wondering if two hero-buddies are gay? Hasn’t that already been done once with Batman & Robin? Assuming you can stretch the gag out into a feature film, I imagine they’ll have a lot of fun getting the movie past the MPAA. See Trey Parker and Matt Stone for tips guys.
