We’re not sure if she’s Holly, but Will Ferrell’s Land of the Lost movie has a female lead. The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Anna Friel has been cast to play opposite Ferrell as the female lead in the adaptation, which will serve as a comedy based on the concept of the 1970s children’s show of the same name.

Friel received a Golden Globe earlier this year for her performance in Pushing Daisies. Previously she played Hermia in the 1999 version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream with Stanley Tucci and Kevin Kline, and she’s been a constant staple of the Goal! movies, including the upcoming Goal! III.

Filming starts next month on Land of the Lost which features Ferrell as a disgraced paleontologist who finds his way to a strange prehistoric world. Along with lovers Friel and Ferrell will be Danny McBride who was announced as part of the movie last month.
