Not again. Just when I'd started to believe that The Fountain might really and truly at long last be released… they've shifted it's release date again.
The film has a long history of fluctuating release dates. I'm not just talking about by a couple of days here, in some cases it's been a shift of years. By now, it's driving Aronofsky fans a little nuts. With the new trailer out and looking absolutely brilliant, the thought of waiting even another minute for the movie has now become completely unbearable.
But wait long we will. Box Office Mojo reports in their latest round of date updating that The Fountain's release has moved from October 13th to November 22nd of 2006. A month may not seem like much longer to wait, but with The Fountain's history of release date square dancing don’t be surprised if it does another doce doe before Aronofsky finally lets us see it.
In other Fountain news, they've released a new, freaky Fountain screensaver on the movie's official site. It doesn't make up for another month of waiting, but it's better than nothing.
