The Avengers 2 Trailer Is Coming Very Soon
Joss Whedon's The Avengers: Age of Ultron is guaranteed to be one of the biggest blockbusters of 2015, and as a result, many have been dying to get their first glimpse at the film. For the longest time it has been a mystery when we would be getting to see the first trailer, but that question now has an answer.
Marvel Studios has officially announced that the first ever trailer for The Avengers: Age of Ultron will be airing during next week episode's of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which will air at 9:00pm ET/PT next Tuesday, October 28th. The announcement was made at the end of this week's episode - after which the Avengers Twitter account sent out this message:
So what can we expect to see? Really, the sky is the limit. The Avengers 2 wrapped production all the way back in August, and post-production teams have been hard at work for months making the movie look fit for public consumption. That being said, I wouldn't be too surprised if we got to see something akin to the footage that was shown at this year's San Diego Comic-Con (which actually looked nearly finished). I imagine that the new trailer won't be nearly as long - the preview consisted of a full scene and a lengthy montage - but it would be an easy way to market the movie, as they already know that it will get people extremely excited.
For those of you who missed our coverage of the Marvel Studios panel at SDCC this past summer, the footage began with Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner), James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) all casually hanging around in Avengers Tower, and eventually having a fun little contest to see who can lift Thor's hammer. This little party is unfortunately interrupted by a zombie-looking Ultron (James Spader), who proceeds to crash the party with a couple of his robot buddies. This was followed by various clips of footage, including our first look at the matchup between the Hulk and Iron Man's Hulkbuster armor:
You can be sure that we will have the Avengers: Age of Ultron for you the second it arrives online next week. Strap in, and get ready for the film's release on May 1, 2015.
