The New Avengers 2 Trailer Is Haunting And Awesome
Have you been just itching to see more footage from Joss Whedon’s The Avengers: Age of Ultron? Of course you have! Fortunately, Marvel has delivered just that in the form of a brand new trailer:
It’s true that we really didn’t need anything raising our excitement for The Avengers: Age of Ultron, as the world-building by Marvel Studios to this point and the previously released trailer have been more than impressive enough, but I’m still absolutely floored by this trailer. There is a ton of brand new footage here that we didn’t get in the first look, and it’s all pulse-pounding stuff. There is no question that this is the film to beat at the box office this summer.
As awesome and thrilling as this trailer is, however, it also still leaves us with a good number of pretty big questions about Avengers 2. For example, who is this man/woman/thing taking off a cloak in the middle of a wet cave?
And what the hell is going on with Thor?
And can someone please explain how the Hulk got this intensely angry at Iron Man?! (look at those eyes!)
Written and directed by Joss Whedon, The Avengers: Age of Ultron continues the adventure of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and begins as Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) works alongside Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) to help develop a new defense system that will protect the world in the wake of the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. This plan backfires in a major way, however, as what they end up creating is Ultron (James Spader), an incredibly intelligent robot who comes to see the human race as a disease that must be cured. In order to stop this incredible threat, Iron Man, Hulk, Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) must reteam, but will they have what it takes to defeat the uncontrollable technological menace? We’ll find out when the film arrives in theaters on May 1st.
