Avengers: Age Of Ultron May Have A Huge Surprise In Store For Us
Post by Robert Downey Jr.
Robert Downey Jr. loves his fans. He especially loves interacting with them through social media. He started out by drawing attention to his latest film The Judge directly through his Facebook and Twitter platforms, and ever since he's been an endless stream of photos, memes, and personal announcements. However, if his latest post is saying what some think it's saying, we should be expecting something big. Possibly something marvel-ous.
After the above post appeared on Robert Downey Jr.'s Facebook, Cosmic Book News noticed a possibly telling detail in the photo. Anybody else notice the specific t-shirt that Robert Downey Jr. is wearing underneath his purple jacket?
It's the Black Sabbath t-shirt that Tony was wearing during part of the events of The Avengers. Now, if this outfit combo is reading the way that we think it is, this COULD mean that a trailer or something big for The Avengers: Age Of Ultron is dropping tomorrow. After all, last night provided us with our first official synopsis to the events of next summer's gigantic blockbuster. It wouldn't be a surprise to see a quick teaser thrown out for the fans to drool over.
Of course, the nature of a surprise is not knowing what it entails until the moment of release, so there's still a possibility that this announcement could be tying into the recent media campaign promoting The Judge. After all, it's been a week since Downey announced a handful of special advance screenings in limited markets. In this scenario, we could be seeing an expansion of that advanced screening campaign into other areas that weren't as lucky. Judging by some of the advanced buzz coming out of the film, it sounds like a solid fan base is going to be needed for the film to succeed on its October 10th opening.
For now, Robert Downey Jr has engineered a fan buzz scenario that Schrodinger's Cat would appreciate, and we'll only get to open that box tomorrow morning. Seeing as Captain America: The First Avenger had the pleasure of teasing The Avengers at the end of its credits in August of 2011, it seems like a good assumption that tomorrow could see the beginning of The Avengers: Age Of Ultron media blitz. Remember waiting for the credits to fade, and being treated to this surprise?
If we're lucky, we might get to see another cryptic minute and a half of clues as to just what we'll be getting ourselves into next summer. In the meantime, you can see Robert Downey Jr. in The Judge on October 10th. The Avengers: Age Of Ultron opens May 1, 2015.
