Another day, another clip from The Avengers-- it's getting to the point that I"m honestly worried I've seen the entire film, and we're still a full two weeks away from its release. In the latest one, which premiered at iTunes and can be watched below, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth) are facing off against each other in what really does look like a fight to the death. It's unclear while these two members of Nick Fury's team would be beating the snot out of each other, but I"m guessing Loki or one of his alien cronies might have developed some shape-shifting abilities. See if you can solve the mystery for yourself in the clip below.
Though the scene is really action heavy, you get a glimpse of the humor that everyone seems to be raving about-- that's pure Joss Whedon at work, and it fits well within the Marvel universe we've already been introduced to. And the action direction is also pretty good, something else that those who saw it at the Los Angeles premiere seem to be raving about. Of course, it's easy at this point to see any scene from The Avengers and use it as reason to be excited, but this one does seem especially good.
That said, stop releasing them already! I want some surprises in store when I finally see the movie, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. At this point pretty much everyone seems excited about The Avengers, so how about we just sit on our hands for two weeks and wait patiently? Yeah? OK, good.
