Batman v Superman First Footage Could Be Screened At Comic-Con

Can someone swing by the San Diego Convention Center and let me know if a line of eager fans already has formed outside of Hall H? One of the odd results of the tremendous Summer 2015 schedule is that Comic-Con 2014 – scheduled for July 24-27 – is likely to be stacked with amazing panels and footage. We’ll start to hear confirmed panels and presentations in the coming weeks, and one major reveal might have just arrived. Strap in, DC Comics fans. Things are about to get very interesting.

We could expect that Warner Bros, DC and director Zack Snyder are bringing footage from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice to San Diego Comic-Con to whip Hall H into a frenzy. After all, remember when THIS happened?

Recently, reports surfaced that Warner Bros would map out the entirety of its planned DC Cinematic Universe (for lack of a better term) in San Diego at Comic-Con. And now, Latino-Review is pushing the rumor that the first footage from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will be screened in Hall H next month.

Footage might be part of a much larger presentation, as the site’s Elmayimbe adds:

I wonder if that will be similar to the huge Batmobile display that took over the lawn outside of the Convention Center in 2012.

Showing footage from Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice at Comic-Con makes sense on so many levels. Zack Snyder has been filming scenes in Detroit for a while now, and should have footage of Ben Affleck in the Batman suit, Henry Cavill in the Superman suit, and even Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. Warner knows that it’s likely competing with Disney and Marvel for all of the Comic-Con headlines, even though their rival is bringing Avengers: Age of Ultron and its Phase 3 information. But footage from Snyder’s film would be a TREMENDOUS gauntlet drop in the ongoing superhero movie battle, and July can NOT get here soon enough.
