Batman v Superman's Lex Luthor Wants To Take Over Your Computer
While Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice has given us glimpses into just what Lex Luthor's role in the film will be, we're still pretty in the dark on what exactly he'll be doing. Now, a new viral site might have another clue into what his ultimate plan may entail, and it's going to come down to what software you're running on the very device you're reading on right now.
Comic Book Movie ran an interesting scoop involving the LexCorp viral site. In particular, the site is touting the release of "Lex OS," an operating system that doesn't promise much at the moment, except that it's got a lot to show off. It's to be assumed that Lex OS will work much like Windows 10 does, in the respect that it will operate of of your phone, as well as your computer and any other device it's installed on. Isn't that a convenient way to keep tabs on an enemy that can fly faster than a speeding bullet?
Better still, Lex OS might be a perfect set up for a long awaited foe to tangle with Superman. Since Batman V. Superman Dawn Of Justice is going to set up the DC Cinematic Universe on the whole, it'd make a hell of a post-credits teaser to see Lex Luthor's operating system evolve / become infected by Brainiac. We don't know if Clark's spaceship wasn't harboring a stowaway in its memory banks, and it would easily set up Justice League's villain, as previously speculated. Of course, the more practical side of this viral site is that this viral campaign will probably unveil the next big look at Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice.
The release date for the OS is slated for Winter 2015, and from that you can guess where this is going – as we assume that the next big trailer for Zack Snyder's next superhero flick will be released with a certain special film coming out at that point and time. The obvious film that the Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer could hang its hat on is, of course, Star Wars: The Force Awakens; as the most asses will be in seats to see the continuing adventures of friends both new and old in the Star Wars galaxy. However, if Warner Bros. is going to root for the home team with this trailer, they have two huge titles that could claim exclusivity in order to boost their numbers.
A week before Star Wars unleashes its next installment, Ron Howard's In The Heart Of The Sea will be unfurling its sails in theaters everywhere, attracting fans of historical pieces, and Chris Hemsworth, to sail on its ship of nail-biting entertainment. Though, if that doesn't appeal to the extreme adrenaline junkies enough to get them to watch a film about whaling, then Point Break opens the week after on Christmas Day – promising all the good boys and girls a holiday event that they'll never forget. Still, Star Wars: The Force Awakens is our best bet for where you'll see this trailer, as Christmas seems like too much of a gamble, and the Ron Howard film will probably aim itself towards a completely different demographic.
Or maybe Lex OS is the only place you'll be able to see the new Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer. So it's probably best you sign up at the LexCorp website, and keep an eye out for that next big operating system that Lex Luthor and his people are promising. Batman v. Superman: Dawn Of Justice will land in theaters on March 25, 2016.
