Bill Paxton Finds More Big Love
Well, at least nobody can accuse Bill Paxton of being boring. He directed the dark under-appreciated film Frailty about killing demons, and currently stars in the hit HBO polygamy show “Big Love”, which has been renewed for another season. Life is good for Bill, and he’s not about to start taking the safe route.
According to Hollywood Reporter, he will next star in The Second Coming, a tale of death, suicidal tendencies, and romance. It will be the second film shot by Donal Logue, who previously directed Tennis, Anyone…?. He will adapt the script with Jeff Kitchen, from Walker Percy’s novel of the same name.
The Second Coming follows a depressed, suicidal widower (Paxton) who falls in love with a young woman, who happens to be on the run from a loony bin. It’s an offbeat, unconventional love story. Logue explains: "On one level they could be crazy, but on another they're saner than anyone."
Principal photography will begin in Greenville, S.C., early next year.
