Breaking Dawn Part 2 Will Get A Midnight Blu-ray Release In March
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn—Part 2 may forever live on in infamy as the movie that almost went for a bold and bloody ending before reigning it in and given us a tamer ending marking the end of an era. However, if you are a Twihard, or simply an avid film collector looking to complete your Twilight Saga collection, you’ll be able to do so when Breaking Dawn—Part 2 hits Blu-ray, DVD, and digital download on March 2.
If March 2 sounds like a weird release date, it is. Most often, Blu-ray and DVD releases come out on Tuesdays, but since The Twilight Saga has such an avid fan base, a Saturday release date will allow outlets to do a weekend event promoting the final installment in the series. The set will street at midnight on March 2, and will allow fans to line up and come together for the big release.
The Blu-ray and DVD sets themselves will be jam-packed with bonus features, although I have seen lengthier lists in the past. The big extra is a 7-part “Making of” documentary that will include the major bumps the cast and crew had to get through to create two movies based on one book. There are more features, but if you are a fan, the best news is that Blu-ray and DVD copies of the flick will get the same extras and that neither copy will cost an arm and a leg. Blu-ray copies will run for $39.99 and DVD copies will cost $30.98. You can check out the full list of extras, below.
