It’s out of sheer morbid curiosity that I watch movies like Red, White, & Blue. Maybe just to see a different take on tortured death, or maybe to see what this director’s version of suffering is, but either way it’s to see some brutal, brutal stuff.
R,W,&B doesn’t look to be any different, and the best part is that we don’t have to wait for it-- it's available today on IFC Midnight VOD. The film follows a man on a mission to find his kidnapped girlfriend who along the way meets many people that he proceeds to gag, ask questions they can't answer, then stab repeatedly. It looks like a very gritty, calculated thriller that will leave you in chills and I can’t wait to check it out.
The trailer hit yesterday at UGO to help promote its VOD release and also its Saturday showing at Fantastic Fest in Austin, TX. Scope it out below but be warned; it might be a bit unsettling since there’s some implied rape stuff going down.
