Bryan Cranston Faces Terror And Loss In Chilling Godzilla Extended Look

Heads or tails? This extended look at Godzilla offers a little bit of both. And by a little bit, I mean we get just a few seconds of the monster, while the rest of the two and a half minute video focuses on disaster and a pretty brilliant demonstration of Bryan Cranston's acting abilities. And we're filled in a bit on the story.
The video begins with Bryan Cranston working in some kind of facility. The datedness of his attire and the equipment indicate that we're looking at something that happened in the past. Terrifying circumstances ensue when something goes wrong and Cranston's character has to seal off a part of the facility before his wife has time to get out. Here's what total devastation looks like.
Devastation is a relative term, of course, as we later see a horrific tsunami tear through a resort.
Points to the dog for breaking his own leash.
Back to Cranston, he appears to be remorseful over what happened to his wife, and certain that they're "hiding something out there." And he's really mad about it.
Maybe it's Breaking Bad pre-withdrawal, but I may actually be a little bit more excited to see Cranston in something new than I am to see Godzilla start tearing things up. But there is that. The beast makes an appearance in the video near the end, first with a swish of its tail...
And then with a roar...

Kelly put her life-long love of movies, TV and books to greater use when she joined CinemaBlend as a freelance TV news writer in 2006, and went on to serve as the site’s TV Editor before joining the staff full-time in 2011 and moving over to other roles at the site. At present, she’s an Assistant Managing Editor who spends much of her time brainstorming and editing features, analyzing site data, working with writers and editors on content planning and the workflow, and (of course) continuing to obsess over the best movies and TV shows (those that already exist, and the many on the way).
