Burn, Burn, Burn With This New On The Road Trailer
After having its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival earlier this summer, On The Road is finally getting ready for theatrical release. But before the movie hits theaters on December 21st in limited release, it will be first stopping in Canada for the Toronto International Film Festival next month. Hence why this brand spanking new trailer has found its way online.
It feels like this film has been coming out in droplets over the last few months. Earlier in August we got a brand new international trailer; two clips premiered over the summer; and back in March the movie was all over the place, with its first trailer being released and then multiple character posters. With the film still a few months away from theatrical release we'll probably still see a small-but-steady stream following its North American premiere at TIFF, and we'll just continue to wait for the movie to arrive stateside.
Based on the generation defining book by Jack Kerouac, One The Road follows Sal Paradise (Sam Riley) and Dean Moriarty (Garrett Hedlund) as they hop in a car and hit the road for a journey of self-discovery and reflection. Jose Rivera, best known for writing The Motorcycle Diaries, took care of the adaptation while Walter Salles directed. The film has an all-star supporting cast that inclides Kristen Stewart, Amy Adams, Kirsten Dunst, Viggo Mortensen, Steve Buscemi, Elizabeth Moss, Terrence Howard, Tom Sturridge, and Alice Braga.
