Burn Casting News After Reading
Finally, the Coen brothers have crawled through the mystical hole on the 7 1/2 floor to find that they too love Malkovich. That’s right, Cyrus the virus, John Malkovich, is joining the cast of the Coens’ Burn After Reading, says The Hollywood Reporter.
After the Coens’ lackluster Intolerable Cruelty (2003) and The Ladykillers (2004), it’s good to see the dynamic directing duo getting back on the horse to tackle another dark comedy. Burn After Reading focuses on Ozzie Cox (Malkovich), a former CIA agent who loses the disc of the memoir he’s writing. Coen brother staple Frances McDormand will play Cox’s unfaithful wife. George Clooney is cast to play and assassin and not much is known about Brad Pitt’s character, as the script is being guarded by five hounds of hell and a fire-breathing Minotaur. Joel and Ethan Coen will share writing and directing credits in this Focus Features and Working Title Films project.
