The first half of 2006 has been disappointingly Buscemi light. That'll change soon, he's got a whole slew of new projects coming up, including a role in Universal's faux gay marriage comedy I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.
Universal announced the casting this morning, and Buscemi joins the cast along with Dan Akyroyd. Adam Sandler and Kevin James are already on board to play the happy couple, while Jessica Biel will be the obligatory hot chick. Steve will be a city official trying to expose their plan to cheat the system with a boy boy marriage. Dan is a random fire department captain.
The concept may seem a little stale, but the movie has a fantastic cast. The addition of Akyroyd and Buscemi just got me a lot more interested in this one.
